    SEE ALSO...

epsin 4 Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 163-186 of epsin 4 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). epsin 4 monoclonal antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. epsin 4 plays a crucial role in the process of clathrin-mediated endocytosis, which is essential for the internalization of synaptic vesicles at presynaptic nerve terminals. This process is vital for neurotransmission and synaptic plasticity, as it regulates the recycling of synaptic vesicles and the availability of neurotransmitters. Disruption of epsin 4 function can lead to impaired endocytosis, which may contribute to neurological disorders, including schizophrenia, as abnormalities in epsin 4′s structure or expression have been linked to susceptibility to this condition. The epsin 4 gene is located on chromosome 5q33 and encodes a clathrin-associated protein that is integral to the transport and stability of neurotransmitter vesicles within neurons. anti-epsin 4 antibody (C-4) is recommended for researchers studying the mechanisms of synaptic function and the potential implications of epsin 4 in neuropsychiatric disorders.
