Epsin 1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 antibody that detects Epsin 1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through various applications including western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Epsin 1 plays a crucial role in the endocytic process, particularly in the formation of Clathrin-coated vesicles, which are essential for the internalization of membrane proteins and lipids. Epsin 1 is primarily located at the leading edge of vesicular coated pits, where Epsin 1 facilitates the bending of the membrane, a critical step in the endocytosis pathway. The presence of an epsin N-terminal homology (ENTH) domain and a Clathrin-binding motif within Epsin 1 underscores its importance in the recruitment of Clathrin and other accessory proteins, thereby regulating the dynamics of vesicle formation. Additionally, Epsin 1 undergoes post-translational modifications, including phosphorylation, which can influence interaction with other proteins and functional activity during cellular processes. Anti-Epsin 1 antibody (A-9) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into the mechanisms of endocytosis and the role of Epsin 1 in various physiological and pathological contexts.
