    SEE ALSO...

EPI64 Antibody (B-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EPI64 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EPI64 (B-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EPI64, also known as EBP-PDZ interactor, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling by interacting with NHE regulatory factor 1 (NHERF-1) through its C-terminal -DTYL sequence, which binds to the first PDZ domain of NHERF-1 and NHERF-2. This interaction facilitates the regulation of Na+/H+ exchange protein (NHE), which is essential for transepithelial sodium absorption, primarily in intestinal and renal brush border membranes. By modulating NHE activity, EPI64 influences sodium homeostasis and blood pressure regulation, highlighting its importance in maintaining physiological balance. EPI64 is ubiquitously expressed and co-localizes with NHERF-1 in vitro, underscoring its role in cellular processes that are vital for proper organ function and overall health.
