EPB41L5 Antibody (F-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EPB41L5 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EPB41L5 (F-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EPB41L5, also known as erythrocyte membrane protein band 4.1 like 5, is a 733 amino acid cytoplasmic protein characterized by the presence of a single FERM domain, which is crucial for interaction with CRB1 (crumbs homolog 1). This interaction plays a vital role in maintaining epithelial cell polarity and tight junction positioning, processes essential for epithelial tissue integrity. EPB41L5 is widely expressed, with highest levels found in ovary, kidney, and brain, and colocalizes with β-catenin, emphasizing EPB41L5′s importance in cellular signaling and structural organization. Additionally, EPB41L5 exists as four alternatively spliced isoforms, encoded by a gene located on human chromosome 2q14.2, highlighting the complexity and regulatory potential in various biological contexts.
