SEE ALSO...

ENX-2 Antibody (H-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ENX-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ENX-2 (H-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ENX-2, a mammalian homolog of the Drosophila gene enhancer of zeste, plays a crucial role in chromatin regulation and is characterized by the presence of a SET domain, which is essential for histone methylation function. This post-translational modification influences gene expression by altering chromatin structure, thereby impacting cellular processes such as differentiation and development. ENX-2 is expressed ubiquitously in both adult and fetal tissues, suggesting importance in maintaining heterochromatin stability, which is critical for genomic integrity. Human ENX-2 is located on chromosome 17q21, and expression patterns indicate a significant role in the central and peripheral nervous systems, as well as in fetal hematopoiesis during development. Understanding ENX-2 function and regulation can provide insights into developmental biology and potential implications in diseases associated with chromatin dysregulation.
