endobrevin Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects endobrevin protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-endobrevin antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Endobrevin, also known as VAMP-8, is a 100 amino acid single-pass type IV membrane protein that plays a crucial role in exocytosis, which is essential for neurotransmitter release and cellular secretory pathways. Endobrevin is primarily located in the cytoplasmic membrane of cells, where endobrevin interacts with other proteins involved in vesicle fusion, such as soluble NSF attachment proteins (SNAPs) and N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor (NSF), forming a SNARE complex that facilitates docking and fusion of vesicles with target membranes. Proper functioning of endobrevin is vital for maintaining cellular communication and homeostasis, as disruptions in endobrevin activity can lead to various neurological disorders and impairments in secretion. anti-endobrevin antibody (G-12) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying mechanisms of exocytosis and endobrevin′s role in cellular processes.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-166820 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
