    SEE ALSO...

EMID1 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EMID1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-EMID1 antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EMID1, or EMI domain containing 1, is a 441 amino acid secreted protein characterized by the presence of one collagen-like domain and one EMI domain, which is notable for containing seven conserved cysteines that may facilitate dimerization. This structural feature is crucial as it suggests a potential role in protein-protein interactions, which can influence various cellular processes, including signaling pathways and extracellular matrix organization. The EMID1 gene, located on human chromosome 22q12.2, spans 54 kb and consists of 15 exons, giving rise to three alternatively spliced isoforms. The conservation of EMID1 across species such as chimpanzee, dog, cow, mouse, rat, chicken, and zebrafish highlights its evolutionary significance. Chromosome 22, being the second smallest human chromosome, harbors over 500 genes and is associated with several genetic disorders, including Phelan-McDermid syndrome and neurofibromatosis type 2, making EMID1 and its interactions particularly relevant in understanding these conditions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390288 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: Trav11
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
