SEE ALSO...

ELL2 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects ELL2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ELL2 antibody (B-7) is available as the non-conjugated form. ELL2, or RNA polymerase II elongation factor ELL2, is a crucial 640 amino acid nuclear protein that plays a significant role in gene expression regulation. ELL2 belongs to the ELL/occludin family, characterized by a highly conserved domain of approximately 100 amino acids found in all eukaryotic occludin proteins and RNA polymerase II elongation factors. ELL2 enhances the elongation phase of transcription by RNA polymerase II, effectively suppressing transient pausing at various sites along the DNA. ELL2 maintains transcription efficiency and fidelity by ensuring RNA polymerase II progresses smoothly along the DNA template. Additionally, ELL2 possesses a unique RNA polymerase II interaction domain that can negatively regulate polymerase activity during promoter-specific transcription initiation in vitro, highlighting a complex role in transcriptional regulation. ELL2 serves as an important target for studies related to gene expression and its dysregulation in various diseases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works for IFThis antibody worked for me for immunofluorescence of FFPE tissue. For westerns, it didn't produce any signal on previously dried membranes, but I have not tested it yet on a fresh one. I will try to update this review once I know.
