SEE ALSO...

eIF3ζ Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects eIF3 zeta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). eIF3ζ (H-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. eIF3 zeta protein plays a crucial role in the initiation of protein synthesis, acting as a key component of the eukaryotic initiation factor 3 (eIF3) complex, which is essential for the assembly of the 40S ribosomal subunit. This complex facilitates the recruitment of the mRNA and the initiator tRNA, thereby ensuring accurate translation initiation. Proper functioning of eIF3 zeta is vital for cellular homeostasis, as dysregulation of protein synthesis can lead to various diseases, including cancer. Notably, overexpression of eIF3 proteins, including eIF3 zeta, has been implicated in tumorigenesis, highlighting their potential as therapeutic targets. Using anti-eIF3ζ antibody (H-7) in research can provide valuable insights into the mechanisms of protein synthesis and its implications in health and disease.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works nominally in Western blotsThis antibody detects eIF3omega with high specificity. I ran a western blot using 25ug of protein extract. I blocked with milk 5% for 30 minutes and incubated the membrane overnight at 4oC with the antibody diluted 1:200. The result was a band as demonstrated by the companies panel.
