    SEE ALSO...

EF-1 δ Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects EF-1 delta protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EF-1 δ (A-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EF-1 delta protein, also known as EEF1D, is a crucial 281 amino acid subunit of the elongation factor-1 complex, which is essential for protein synthesis as EF-1 delta facilitates the delivery of aminoacyl-tRNAs to the ribosome, thereby elongating mRNA. This process is vital for maintaining cellular function and growth, as EF-1 delta directly impacts the efficiency of protein production. Additionally, EF-1 delta functions as a guanine nucleotide exchange factor, promoting the exchange of guanosine diphosphate for guanosine triphosphate on EF-1 α, which is critical for the regulation of translation. Notably, EF-1 delta has been implicated in interactions with HIV-1 Tat, suggesting a role in the modulation of host-cell mRNA transcription. EF-1 delta overexpression has been linked to oesophageal carcinoma and may negatively influence the prognosis of medulloblastomas, highlighting EF-1 delta′s importance in the regulation of the cell cycle and transcriptional elongation. Furthermore, multiple isoforms of EF-1 delta arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to EF-1 delta′s diverse functional roles in different cellular contexts.
