Edc3 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Edc3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Edc3 antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Edc3, known as enhancer of mRNA-decapping protein 3, plays a pivotal role in regulating mRNA decay, a crucial process for maintaining cellular homeostasis and gene expression. Specifically, Edc3 participates in the decapping step of mRNA degradation, a critical control point in the eukaryotic mRNA decay pathway that includes deadenylation and subsequent 5′ to 3′ degradation. Edc3 is a 508 amino acid protein encoded by the human gene EDC3 and primarily localizes in the cytoplasm, particularly within processing bodies (PBs).
