Ect2 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Ect2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Ect2 plays a crucial role in regulating the cell cycle and is particularly important for cytokinesis, the process by which a cell divides its cytoplasm to form two daughter cells. This function is vital for maintaining proper cell division and preventing aneuploidy, which can lead to cancer and other diseases. Ect2 contains both Dbl homology (DH) and pleckstrin homology (PH) domains, which are essential for interaction with small GTPases like Rho and Rac. These interactions are critical for the organization of the cytoskeleton during cell division. Anti-Ect2 antibody (E-1) provides reliable detection of Ect2, facilitating research into cell cycle regulation and implications in oncogenesis.
