Datasheets
  • ECM1 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 κ, cited in 1 publications, provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 126-152 within an internal region of ECM1 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of ECM1 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for ECM1 Antibody (G-7) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with ECM1 Antibody (G-7) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

SEE ALSO...

ECM1 Antibody (G-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG3 kappa light chain antibody that detects ECM1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-ECM1 antibody (G-7) is available in non-conjugated form. ECM1, or extracellular matrix protein 1, is a secreted glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in maintaining the structure and function of the skin. ECM1 is predominantly located in the extracellular matrix, where ECM1 interacts with various components such as Perlecan, Fibulin, and matrix metalloproteinase-9 (MMP-9), thereby contributing to the structural organization of the dermis. ECM1 enhances the association of Collagen Type IV with Laminin 332, highlighting ECM1′s importance in the integrity of the interstitial dermis and the dermal-epidermal junction. Mutations in the gene encoding ECM1 can lead to the autosomal recessive disorder lipoid proteinosis (LiP), which is characterized by dermal hyalinization and basement membrane reduplication, resulting in skin and mucosal thickening in affected individuals. ECM1 has four splice variants, known as ECM1a through ECM1d, which may have distinct functional roles.
