EAP30 Antibody (C-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects EAP30 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). EAP30 (C-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. EAP30, also known as ELL-associated protein of 30 kDa, SNF8, Dot3, or VPS22, is a 258 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to both the nucleus and cytoplasm. As a member of the ESCRT-II complex, EAP30 is integral to the formation of multivesicular bodies (MVBs), which are essential for sorting and degradation of endosomal cargo proteins. Proper functioning of EAP30 is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis, as EAP30 not only facilitates trafficking of proteins to the lysosome for degradation but also regulates transcription by repressing RNA polymerase II activity. This dual role underscores the importance of EAP30 in both protein sorting and gene expression regulation, making EAP30 a significant target for studies related to cellular signaling and degradation pathways.
