E4BP4 Antibody (B-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects E4BP4 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). E4BP4, also known as NFIL3, is a crucial transcriptional repressor belonging to the basic leucine zipper (bZIP) transcription factor family, which plays a significant role in regulating gene expression. E4BP4 is primarily located in the nucleus, where E4BP4 binds to specific DNA sequences, including the E4 ATF, to modulate the transcription of target genes. Nuclear localization allows E4BP4 to compete with other transcription factors, such as PAR proteins, for binding to DNA, thereby influencing circadian rhythms and cellular responses to various signals. E4BP4′s expression is phase-dependent, correlating with the circadian cycle, which underscores E4BP4′s importance in maintaining the rhythmic expression of genes involved in metabolic processes and cellular homeostasis. Additionally, E4BP4 is implicated in the interleukin-3-mediated signaling pathway, which is essential for the survival of B cell progenitors, highlighting E4BP4′s role in immune system regulation. The gene encoding human E4BP4 is located on chromosome 9q22, further emphasizing E4BP4′s significance in human biology and disease.
