E2F-6 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects E2F-6 in mouse and rat samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-E2F-6 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. E2F-6 plays a crucial role in regulating cell cycle progression, particularly in the transition from G1 to S phase, by acting as a transcriptional repressor of E2F target genes. This regulation maintains proper cell proliferation and prevents uncontrolled cell growth, which can lead to tumorigenesis. E2F-6′s ability to form complexes with other E2F family members and DP-1 protein is essential for function, as these interactions control the transcriptional activity of genes involved in cell cycle progression.
