DZIP3 Antibody (C-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DZIP3 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DZIP3 Antibody (C-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DZIP3, also known as DAZ interacting protein 3 or UURF2, is a 1,208 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular signaling as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase. DZIP3 is primarily located in the cytoplasm and is characterized by the presence of a RING-type zinc finger, which is essential for ligase activity. DZIP3 is expressed in various tissues, with the highest levels found in the heart, skeletal muscle, and kidney, highlighting DZIP3′s importance in muscle function and cellular homeostasis. DZIP3′s ability to mediate ubiquitination is vital for regulating protein turnover and maintaining cellular integrity, as DZIP3 targets short-lived or misfolded proteins for degradation through a complex interplay of ubiquitin-activating enzymes, ubiquitin-conjugating enzymes, and ubiquitin-protein ligases. Additionally, multiple isoforms of DZIP3 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to DZIP3′s functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms within different cellular contexts.
