    SEE ALSO...

Dysadherin Antibody (E-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Dysadherin of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dysadherin antibody (E-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dysadherin, also known as FXYD domain-containing ion transport regulator 5, is a critical cancer-associated cell membrane glycoprotein that plays a significant role in regulating cell adhesion. Dysadherin functions by down-regulating E-cadherin expression, the primary mediator of cell-cell adhesion in epithelial tissues, through a posttranscriptional mechanism. This reduction in intercellular adhesion facilitates cancer cell metastasis, allowing invasion into surrounding tissues and spread to distant sites. Dysadherin is predominantly located in the cell membrane and is expressed in various human tissues, including the spleen, lung, skeletal muscle, and testis, mapping to human chromosome 19q13.2. Dysadherin′s ability to modulate cell adhesion highlights its importance in cancer biology and potential as a therapeutic target.
