Dvl-1 Antibody (3F12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody designed to detect dishevelled segment polarity protein 1 (Dvl-1) across mouse, rat, and human species using western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dvl-1 is a pivotal component of the Wnt signaling pathway, which is essential for regulating embryonic development, cell proliferation, and differentiation. Located predominantly in the cytoplasm and associated with the plasma membrane, Dvl-1 acts as a crucial intermediary that transmits signals from Wnt receptors to downstream effectors, thereby orchestrating various cellular processes. Structurally, Dvl-1 comprises three conserved domains, the DIX, PDZ, and DEP domains, that facilitate interactions with key proteins such as Frizzled receptors and Axin, enabling the modulation of both canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling pathways.
