SEE ALSO...

dsg3 Antibody (5H10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects dsg3 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). anti-dsg3 antibody (5H10) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. dsg3 protein, a member of the desmoglein family, plays a crucial role in cell adhesion by forming desmosomes, which are specialized cell junctions that provide structural integrity to tissues, particularly in the skin. This function is vital for maintaining the mechanical strength of epithelial layers, and disruption can lead to autoimmune conditions such as pemphigus vulgaris, where autoantibodies target desmogleins, resulting in blistering and loss of skin integrity. Notably, dsg3 is predominantly expressed in the basal and suprabasal layers of the epidermis, and expression is often altered in various cancers, indicating a potential role in tumor progression and metastasis. dsg3 (5H10) antibody effectively detects this protein, making dsg3 (5H10) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying cell adhesion mechanisms, autoimmune diseases, and cancer biology.
