SEE ALSO...

DR5 Antibody (MD5-1) is a hamster monoclonal IgG antibody that detects DR5 in mouse samples through flow cytometry (FCM). DR5, also known as death receptor 5, is a crucial member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily and plays a significant role in mediating apoptosis, particularly in response to the cytokine TRAIL (TNF-related apoptosis-inducing ligand). Anti-DR5 antibody (MD5-1) recognizes a protein vital for regulating cell death and maintaining tissue homeostasis. When TRAIL binds to DR5, a cascade of intracellular signaling events leads to the recruitment of adaptor proteins and formation of the death-inducing signaling complex (DISC), ultimately resulting in apoptosis. This mechanism is particularly important in cancer biology, as many tumors exploit these pathways to evade programmed cell death, making DR5 a potential target for therapeutic interventions aimed at restoring apoptosis in cancer cells. DR5 (MD5-1) antibody serves as an essential tool for researchers studying these pathways and developing novel cancer treatments.
