    SEE ALSO...

DOT1L1 Antibody (E-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DOT1L1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DOT1L1 antibody (E-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DOT1L1, also known as DOT1L (DOT1-like, histone H3 methyltransferase), DOT1, or KMT4, consists of 1739 amino acids and is a homolog of the yeast DOT1 protein, which is crucial for maintaining telomeric silencing. DOT1L1 is primarily localized in the nucleus and is highly expressed in tissues such as the testis, lung, and kidney. As a histone methyltransferase, DOT1L1 plays a vital role in epigenetic regulation by transferring methyl groups from S-adenosyl-L-methionine to lysine residues on histones and other substrates, thereby influencing gene expression. DOT1L1 lacks the SET domain that is characteristic of most histone methyltransferases, suggesting a unique mechanism for enzymatic activity. DOT1L1 has been implicated in oncogenesis through interactions with several MLL-fusion partners associated with acute leukemia, highlighting significance in cancer biology. Alternative splicing of the DOT1L1 gene results in the expression of two isoforms, further diversifying functional roles in cellular processes.

Are there any issues with using sc-374317: DOT1L1 (E-5) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: AbPolly
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-374317 conjugates.
