SEE ALSO...

Dok-7 Antibody (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Dok-7 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Dok-7 (A-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dok-7 protein plays a pivotal role in neuromuscular synaptogenesis by interacting with muscle-specific receptor kinase (MuSK), which is essential for the formation of neuromuscular junctions and MuSK activation. This interaction facilitates acetylcholine receptor clustering at the postsynaptic membrane, a process vital for effective neuromuscular transmission. Mice lacking Dok-7 cannot form neuromuscular synapses or develop acetylcholine receptor clusters, leading to severe muscle weakness. Mutations in Dok-7 gene are associated with congenital myasthenic syndromes, inherited disorders characterized by muscle weakness and impaired neuromuscular transmission. anti-Dok-7 antibody (A-7) effectively detects this important protein, making Dok-7 (A-7) monoclonal antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying neuromuscular disorders and synaptic function.

Are there any issues with using sc-390856: Dok-7 (A-7) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-390856 conjugates.
