DnaJB4 Antibody (R-07) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DnaJB4 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DnaJB4 antibody (R-07) is available as a non-conjugated format. The DnaJ family, to which DnaJB4 belongs, is one of the largest chaperone families and is characterized by diverse cellular localization and functions, primarily defined by the presence of the J domain. DnaJB4 plays a crucial role in cellular stress response, particularly in the regulation of protein folding and degradation, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis. DnaJB4 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle, heart, and pancreas, with lower levels found in brain, placenta, and liver. DnaJB4 interacts with HSP 70, a key player in the heat shock protein family, to facilitate ATP hydrolysis, thereby enhancing the chaperone′s ability to assist in protein folding and prevent aggregation. The presence of cysteine-rich regions and zinc finger motifs within DnaJB4 contributes to peptide binding capabilities, underscoring importance in proteostasis. anti-DnaJB4 antibody (R-07) enables valuable insights into mechanisms of protein homeostasis and cellular response to stress, making this product an essential tool for studies related to muscle and cardiac function, as well as various metabolic processes.
