DNA2L Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DNA2L protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DNA2L antibody (A-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DNA2L, also known as DNA2, is a crucial helicase/nuclease that plays a significant role in maintaining genome stability and facilitating DNA metabolism. Specifically, DNA2L is involved in the maturation and elongation of Okazaki fragments during lagging strand DNA replication, which is essential for accurate DNA synthesis and repair. DNA2L is located in the nucleus, where DNA2L unwinds duplex DNA to produce single-stranded DNA, serving as a template for replication. Proper functioning of DNA2L is vital, as mutations in the gene encoding DNA2L can lead to lethal consequences, underscoring its importance in cell viability. Additionally, three isoforms of DNA2L arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to diverse functional roles in cellular processes.
