DNA pol δ cat Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects DNA pol δ cat in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DNA pol δ cat antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DNA polymerase delta (DNA pol δ) plays a crucial role in DNA replication, recombination, and repair, which are essential processes for maintaining genome stability. DNA pol δ is particularly important for the synthesis of the lagging strand during DNA replication, where DNA pol δ processes Okazaki fragments, ensuring that the newly synthesized DNA is accurate and complete. DNA pol δ is involved in the repair of damaged DNA, excising erroneous or damaged segments to maintain genomic integrity. DNA pol δ is composed of two main subunits, p125 and p50, with p125 directly interacting with the sliding DNA clamp protein PCNA, which enhances processivity during DNA synthesis. DNA pol δ is subject to regulation by various cell cycle proteins, highlighting DNA pol δ′s importance in coordinating DNA synthesis with the cell cycle. Understanding DNA pol δ function and regulation is vital for elucidating the mechanisms of DNA replication and repair, which have significant implications in cancer research and therapeutic development.

I used this antibody for WB in DN3A4(mouse NKT cell line) and Jurkat (human T cell line) whole cell lysates but there was no band. Beta-actin band was confirmed. Which cell line could be a positive control? Is there a possibility of antibody problem?

Asked by: wmtmaksm
Thank you for your question. We recommend using HeLa, HL-60, MCF7 or MOLT-4 whole cell lysates as positive controls with this antibodies. Please contact our Technical Service Department for assistance in troubleshooting this antibody.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-374025 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good signal but not sure about he sizeGot a sample of this antibody to try, it worked well on both soluble lysates and chromatin (1:500 for western blot), but the band I see is juts below 150kDa, so I would say 140? Definitely not 125 as expected. I am a little concerned, but I don't have any siRNA to test it. Has this antibody been tested with siRNA?
