DMRT1 Antibody (A-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DMRT1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DMRT1 (A-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DMRT1, also known as Doublesex- and mab-3-related transcription factor 1, is a 373 amino acid protein characterized by a highly conserved zinc finger-like DNA-binding motif known as the DM domain. DMRT1 plays a crucial role in sexual development across vertebrates and invertebrates, with expression limited to the testis in humans, where karyopherin β1 facilitates nuclear transport. DMRT1 is essential for proper testis development and seminiferous tubule formation. The gene encoding DMRT1 shows gonad-specific and sexually dimorphic expression during embryogenesis in mammals and birds, and DMRT1 gene hemizygosity can lead to abnormal testicular development and XY feminization. DMRT1 exists as four isoforms through alternative splicing, highlighting regulatory complexity and functional diversity in sexual differentiation.
