SEE ALSO...

Dmc1 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Dmc1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Dmc1 antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Dmc1 plays a crucial role in meiotic recombination, a process essential for accurate chromosome segregation during gamete formation. Specifically, Dmc1 facilitates homology search and strand invasion, vital steps in repairing double-strand breaks in DNA. This function ensures genetic diversity and stability in resulting gametes, contributing to overall organism health. Dmc1 interacts with other key proteins in the recombination pathway, such as Rad51 and Rad52, which are critical for maintaining genomic integrity. Dmc1 expression is especially significant in germ cells, where an alternative spliced form, Dmc1-D, has been identified, suggesting a nuanced role in mammalian genetic recombination during meiosis. Using Dmc1 (A-6) antibody in research can provide valuable insights into DNA repair mechanisms and their implications in genetic stability and disease.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-373862 P appropriate for?

Asked by: jerojero
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No detectionThe membrane was blocked with 5% skim milk in Tris-HCl pH 7.5 20mM, NaCl 150mM, Tween 0.1%. The antibody was diluted 1:500 in Tris-HCl pH 7.5 20mM, NaCl 150mM. After O/N incubation at 4°C, the membrane was washed twice in Tris-HCl pH 7.5 20 mM, NaCl 150 mM, Tween 0.1% and once in Tris-HCl pH 7.5 20mM, NaCl 150mM. Incubation was performed 1h at room temperature with anti-mouse secondary antibody 1:5000 (Jackson ImmunoResearch) in Tris-HCl pH 7.5 20mM, NaCl 150mM and washed as before. Chemiluminescent substrate used was WESTAR NOVA 2.0 (Cyanagen). We detected only an unspecific band at 250kDa.
