    SEE ALSO...

DLK2 Antibody (B-10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DLK2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DLK2 (B-10) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DLK2 protein, also known as delta homolog 2 or epidermal growth factor-like protein 9, is a 383 amino acid single-pass transmembrane protein characterized by six tandem epidermal growth factor-like repeats in its extracellular domain, which is significant for its role in cell signaling and interaction with other proteins. DLK2 protein is primarily located in the cell membrane, where DLK2 plays a crucial role in mediating cellular communication and influencing processes such as adipogenesis. Notably, DLK2 has been shown to have an inverse relationship with DLK homolog, suggesting that the balance of these proteins is essential for proper adipocyte differentiation. The coordinated expression of DLK and DLK2 is vital, as alterations in the levels of one can significantly impact the expression of the other, thereby modulating adipogenesis and potentially influencing metabolic disorders. Additionally, two isoforms of DLK2 arise from alternative splicing, which may contribute to functional diversity and regulatory mechanisms in various biological contexts.
