DGUOK Antibody (H-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DGUOK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DGUOK antibody (H-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DGUOK, also known as deoxyguanosine kinase, is a crucial 277 amino acid enzyme localized in the mitochondria, where DGUOK plays a vital role in the phosphorylation of purine deoxyribonucleosides. This process is essential for maintaining mitochondrial DNA integrity, as DGUOK catalyzes the conversion of deoxyguanosine to deoxyguanosine monophosphate using ATP. DGUOK function is particularly important in tissues with high energy demands, such as the liver, muscle, and brain, as DGUOK supports mitochondrial DNA replication and repair. DGUOK deficiencies can lead to severe consequences, including hepatocerebral mitochondrial DNA depletion syndrome, characterized by reduced mitochondrial DNA copy number, liver failure, and neurological abnormalities. DGUOK (H-3) antibody′s ability to effectively detect this critical protein makes DGUOK (H-3) antibody an invaluable tool for research into mitochondrial function and related disorders.
