Dengue Virus 2 Antibody (NYRDeng2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Dengue Virus 2 protein by immunocytochemistry. Anti-Dengue Virus 2 antibody (NYRDeng2) is available in a non-conjugated form, providing researchers with a versatile tool for studying this significant pathogen. Dengue Virus, a member of the Flavivirus genus and Flaviviridae family, causes Dengue fever, an acute febrile illness prevalent in tropical regions. Mosquito bites transmit the virus to humans, causing symptoms like high fever, severe headaches, muscle and joint pain, and rashes, typically lasting six to seven days. Dengue Virus genome consists of single-stranded positive-sense RNA, encoding three structural proteins—capsid, membrane, and envelope—and seven nonstructural proteins, including NS1, NS2A, NS2B, NS3, NS4A, NS4B, and NS5. Dengue Virus envelope protein structure plays a crucial role in host cell entry by facilitating viral and cellular membrane fusion, making this protein a key target for developing antiviral therapies and vaccines. Four distinct serotypes exist: Dengue Virus 1, 2, 3, and 4, with Dengue Virus 1 emerging as a unique strain in 1987.
