Delta-4 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects Delta-4 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Delta-4 (G-12) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Delta-4 protein, also known as delta-like canonical Notch ligand 4, plays a crucial role in cell signaling within the LIN-12/Notch pathway, which regulates cell fate decisions during development. Delta-4 (G-12) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein that interacts with Notch receptors, specifically Notch-1 and Notch-4, to influence progenitor cell differentiation, promoting T cell and natural killer cell characteristics while inhibiting B-cell lineage differentiation. Delta-4 is predominantly expressed as a membrane protein in various tissues, including heart, pancreas, brain, and muscle during early development, as well as in adult heart and lung tissues. Delta-4 expression in vascular endothelium highlights its significance in developmental processes and potential implications in tumor biology, as Notch signaling has been implicated in the overexpression and rearrangement of Notch proteins in human tumors.
