DEC2 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DEC2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DEC2 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DEC2, also known as SHARP1, is a 412 amino acid basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor that plays a crucial role in regulating the mammalian molecular clock by modulating the expression of specific clock genes. DEC2′s ability to suppress the transcription of these genes is vital for maintaining circadian rhythms, which are essential for various physiological processes, including sleep-wake cycles and metabolic regulation. DEC2 is predominantly expressed in skeletal muscle and brain tissues, and DEC2′s gene is located on chromosome 12p11.23-p12.1.
