SEE ALSO...

DDX11 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDX11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DDX11 Antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDX11, also known as CHLR1 or KRG2, belongs to the DEAD-box protein family, characterized by the conserved Asp-Glu-Ala-Asp motif and functions as an RNA helicase. DDX11 plays a crucial role in several cellular processes, including RNA secondary structure modification and assembly of ribosomes and spliceosomes, which are essential for proper gene expression and protein synthesis. DDX11 is localized primarily in the nucleus and shows high expression in tissues such as testis, thymus, ovary, spleen, and pancreas, highlighting DDX11′s importance in cellular growth and division, as well as embryogenesis and spermatogenesis. DDX11 possesses both ATPase and DNA helicase activities, enabling binding to single- and double-stranded DNA, which is vital for accurate chromosome segregation during cell division. Five isoforms of DDX11, resulting from alternative splicing, further underscore DDX11′s complexity and regulatory potential in various biological contexts.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with DDX11 (F-2): sc-271700 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
