SEE ALSO...

DDEF2 Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DDEF2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-DDEF2 antibody (C-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DDEF2, also known as ADP ribosylation factor GTPase-activating protein, plays a crucial role in regulating membrane traffic and cytoskeletal organization by modulating the activity of ARF family GTP-binding proteins. This regulation is vital for the assembly and organization of focal adhesions, which are essential for cell adhesion and signaling. DDEF2 interacts with protein-tyrosine kinases such as Src and focal adhesion kinase, influencing the recruitment and organization of focal adhesion proteins like paxillin and FAK. DDEF2 is primarily localized at peripheral focal adhesions in spreading platelets, where Pyk2 phosphorylates DDEF2 on specific tyrosine residues, affecting its phosphoinositide binding profile. DDEF2 phosphorylation depends on a proline-rich class II Src SH3 binding site, highlighting the importance of post-translational modifications in its function and interactions.
