SEE ALSO...

DCC Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DCC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DCC Antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DCC protein, or Deleted in Colorectal Cancer protein, is a crucial transmembrane protein consisting of 1,447 amino acids, primarily expressed in the developing brain and neural tube, where DCC plays a significant role in mediating directional migration during nervous system development. DCC protein′s interaction with Netrin-1, a key chemoattractant for commissural axons in the spinal cord, underscores DCC′s importance in guiding neuronal growth and establishing proper neural connections. Loss of DCC expression has been linked to various cancers, including colorectal, breast, endometrial, brain, pancreatic, and prostate cancers, as well as leukemias and neuroblastomas, highlighting DCC′s potential role as a tumor suppressor. Using anti-DCC antibody (A-1) in research can help explore the intricate mechanisms of DCC in both developmental biology and cancer studies, providing valuable insights into DCC′s function and implications in health and disease.

How much sample do you recommend loading on the gel for Western blot detection using DCC (A-1): sc-515834?

Asked by: Trav11
We recommend loading 40–60 µg whole cell lysate, 10–20 µg nuclear extract, 5-10 µg transfected lysate, or 10–20 ng purified protein per lane. A link to our complete Western blotting protocol is provided here for your reference: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/western-immuno-blotting
