DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR Antibody (19F7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects DC-SIGN/DC-SIGNR in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). DC-SIGN, also known as CD209, is a type II membrane protein predominantly expressed on dendritic cells, playing a crucial role in the immune response by mediating the interaction between dendritic cells and T cells. This interaction is vital for initiating adaptive immunity, particularly in the context of viral infections such as HIV-1, where DC-SIGN captures the virus and facilitates its transfer to T cells in lymphoid tissues, thereby enhancing viral dissemination.
