DBC-2 Antibody (G-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DBC-2 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DBC-2 Antibody (G-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DBC-2, also known as RHOBTB2 (Rho-related BTB domain-containing protein 2), is a 727 amino acid member of the RhoBTB subfamily of Rho GTPases, which are crucial for regulating various cellular functions such as cytoskeletal dynamics, nuclear signaling, and cell proliferation. DBC-2 is characterized by a unique structure, which includes a proline-rich region, a GTPase domain, and two tandem BTB repeats, allowing DBC-2 to interact with and modulate the activity of specific target proteins, including CUL-3. This structural configuration enables DBC-2 to play a significant role in regulating cell cycle and apoptosis, acting as a tumor suppressor under normal physiological conditions. Mutations in DBC-2 have been linked to breast cancer, highlighting DBC-2′s importance in cancer biology and potential implications in tumorigenesis.
