DAZL Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects DAZL protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DAZL antibody (E-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DAZL (E-6) antibody recognizes deleted in azoospermia-like protein, which plays a crucial role in spermatogenesis as an RNA-binding protein, influencing the development and maturation of germ cells. DAZL expression is restricted to germ cells in both male and female gonads, highlighting its importance in fertility. The gene encoding human DAZL is located on chromosome 3p24 and shares a highly conserved RNA-binding motif with other members of the DAZ family, such as BOULE and DAZ. A mutation at Thr 54 to Ala within the RNA-recognition domain of DAZL can lead to spermatogenic failure, emphasizing DAZL′s critical function in reproductive health. Infertility observed in DAZL knockout mice is attributed to their germ cells′ inability to complete the first meiotic prophase during the initial wave of spermatogenesis, underscoring DAZL′s essential role in male fertility.
