DAP12 Antibody (G-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects DAP12 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DAP12 (G-5) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DAP12, also known as TYRO protein tyrosine kinase-binding protein, plays a crucial role in the immune system by acting as an adaptor protein that transmits activating signals from various receptors on natural killer (NK) cells. DAP12 is primarily located in the plasma membrane of immune cells, where DAP12 interacts with several receptor families, including killer-cell inhibitory receptors (KIR) and CD94/NKG2C. Such localization allows DAP12 to facilitate NK cell activation in response to stress signals or infected cells, thereby enhancing immune response. DAP12′s ability to bind to phosphorylated ZAP-70 and Syk suggests shared activation pathways with T and B cell antigen receptors, highlighting DAP12′s importance in bridging innate and adaptive immunity.
