    SEE ALSO...

DAK Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DAK protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-DAK antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DAK protein, also known as dihydroxyacetone kinase 2 homolog or NET45, is a bifunctional enzyme that plays a crucial role in cellular metabolism by catalyzing the phosphorylation of dihydroxyacetone and the conversion of FAD to cyclized FMN. This enzymatic activity is vital for energy production and metabolic regulation, as DAK links carbohydrate metabolism to the generation of essential cofactors. DAK is a 575 amino acid protein that exists as a homodimer and contains one DhaK domain and one DhaL domain, with DAK gene located on human chromosome 11, a region associated with various genetic disorders, including Jervell and Lange-Nielsen syndrome and Niemann-Pick disease. DAK′s ability to interact with specific substrates and role in metabolic pathways underscore DAK′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and energy balance, making DAK (A-5) monoclonal antibody an essential tool for researchers studying metabolic diseases and related conditions.
