    SEE ALSO...

DACH2 Antibody (A-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects DACH2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). DACH2 Antibody (A-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. DACH2, or Dachshund homolog 2, is a crucial transcription factor that plays a significant role in organogenesis and cell fate determination, particularly in the development of the eye, limb, and genital structures. This 599 amino acid protein is characterized by two distinct dachshund domains: an N-terminal domain that facilitates DNA binding and a C-terminal domain that mediates protein-protein interactions. DACH2 localization in the nucleus is vital for function as DACH2 regulates gene expression by interacting with other proteins, such as Six1 and EYA2, to promote myogenesis, while also repressing Six6 activity through direct inhibition of cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitors. Notably, DACH2 undergoes alternative splicing, resulting in three named isoforms, which may have distinct regulatory roles in various biological processes.

Are there any issues with using sc-515091: DACH2 (A-5) mouse monoclonal primary antibody on mouse samples?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent,we recommend using a directly conjugated primary antibody. Please contact our special orders department for pricing and availability of sc-515091 conjugates.
