SEE ALSO...

Cytokeratin 20 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects Cytokeratin 20 (CK20) protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CK20 Antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CK20, a member of the cytokeratin family, is primarily located in the cytoplasm of epithelial cells, particularly in the gastrointestinal tract, where CK20 is abundantly expressed in goblet cells and enterocytes. Such localization plays a significant role in maintaining the structural integrity and function of epithelial tissues, which are essential for barrier formation and nutrient absorption. CK20 serves as a valuable marker for pancreatic and colorectal cancers, aiding in the differentiation of various carcinomas, including distinguishing renal oncocytomas from renal cell carcinomas. Anti-CK20 antibody (E-9) effectively identifies CK20 across multiple applications, making this tool indispensable for researchers and clinicians studying epithelial cell biology and cancer pathology.

Hello. I would like to know what the secondary antibody for this antibody to use for immunohistochemistory (DAB) is. I may stain cytokeratin in mouse tissue, so if this secondary antibody should be anti-mouse one, it is not good. We hope anti-goat one.

Asked by: Yoshi
Thank you for your question.Cytokeratin 20 Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 λ.It can be used for IHC experiments on mouse tissues. If you choose the secondary antibody you should choose anti-mouse secondary antibody. We recommend you to use m-IgG1 BP-HRP: sc-525408. Thank you.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-271183 P appropriate for?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
