CYP3A5 Antibody (F18 P3 B6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP3A5 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-CYP3A5 antibody (F18 P3 B6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP3A5 plays a crucial role in drug metabolism, as this enzyme is responsible for the oxidative metabolism of numerous therapeutic agents, impacting their efficacy and safety. CYP3A5 is predominantly located in the liver, gastrointestinal tract, and kidney, which are critical sites for drug processing and elimination. Expression of CYP3A5 can vary significantly among individuals due to genetic polymorphisms, leading to differences in drug response and potential adverse effects. Understanding CYP3A5 function and localization is essential for personalized medicine, as this knowledge helps predict how different patients will metabolize medications, thereby guiding dosage and treatment strategies. The CYP3A gene cluster, which includes CYP3A4, CYP3A7, and CYP3A43, is located on chromosome 7q22.1 and is vital for the metabolism of over 50% of all clinical drugs, making CYP3A5 a significant target for research and therapeutic applications.
