CYP2S1 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP2S1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-CYP2S1 antibody (A-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP2S1, a member of the cytochrome P450 family, plays a crucial role in metabolizing endogenous and exogenous compounds, including retinoic acid and aromatic hydrocarbons. CYP2S1 localization in the endoplasmic reticulum enables effective metabolism of substrates involved in drug processing and detoxification of harmful substances. CYP2S1 expression is prominent in epithelial cells of respiratory and gastrointestinal tracts, as well as skin, protecting these tissues from xenobiotic exposure. CYP2S1 contributes to topical drug metabolism and therapeutic response to photochemotherapy in conditions like psoriasis. Environmental factors influence CYP2S1 expression, with dioxin acting as an inducer while aryl hydrocarbon receptor and aryl hydrocarbon nuclear translocator regulate this induction process.
