CYP2J2 Antibody (E-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CYP2J2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CYP2J2, also known as cytochrome P450 2J2, is a crucial member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily, primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and microsomal membranes. CYP2J2 plays a vital role in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, converting it into epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, which are significant regulators of cardiovascular function and vascular tone. CYP2J2′s ability to epoxidize endogenous cardiac arachidonic acid pools into four distinct isoforms of epoxyeicosatrienoic acid underscores its importance in maintaining cardiovascular homeostasis. CYP2J2 is predominantly expressed in the heart, with lower expression levels in the liver, colon, and kidneys. Furthermore, CYP2J2 up-regulation through a c-Jun responsive pathway has been linked to the promotion of neoplastic characteristics in certain carcinoma cells, suggesting potential involvement in carcinogenesis. Anti-CYP2J2 antibody (E-6) is an essential tool for researchers investigating this protein′s role in both normal physiology and disease states.

What is the recommended fixation method for immunofluorescence staining with CYP2J2 (E-6): sc-137100 monoclonal antibody?

Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your inquiry. We recommend fixing cells for 5 minutes in -10°C methanol and allowing to air dry. The full protocol can be viewed here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
