CYP2J2 Antibody (D-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP2J2 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-CYP2J2 antibody (D-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP2J2, also known as cytochrome P450 2J2, is a crucial member of the cytochrome P450 superfamily, primarily localized to the endoplasmic reticulum and microsomal membranes. CYP2J2 plays a significant role in the metabolism of arachidonic acid, converting it into epoxyeicosatrienoic acids, which are vital for regulating cardiovascular homeostasis and vascular tone. CYP2J2 epoxidizes endogenous cardiac arachidonic acid pools into four distinct isoforms of epoxyeicosatrienoic acid, underscoring CYP2J2′s importance in maintaining cardiovascular health. CYP2J2 is predominantly expressed in the heart, with lower expression levels in the liver, colon, and kidneys. Up-regulation of CYP2J2 through a c-Jun responsive pathway has been implicated in promoting the neoplastic phenotype of certain carcinoma cells, suggesting a potential role for CYP2J2 in carcinogenesis.
