CYP2A6 Antibody (F16 P2 D8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects CYP2A6 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). Anti-CYP2A6 antibody (F16 P2 D8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. CYP2A6 plays a crucial role in nicotine metabolism, converting nicotine into cotinine and subsequently into 3-hydroxycotinine, which are important steps in detoxification. This metabolic pathway is significant for understanding nicotine addiction and developing personalized smoking cessation strategies, as variations in CYP2A6 genotypes can influence an individual′s response to nicotine and likelihood of dependence.
