Cylindromatosis 1 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects cylindromatosis 1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-cylindromatosis 1 antibody (H-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cylindromatosis 1 protein, encoded by the human CYLD gene located on chromosome 16q12.1, plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways by acting as a deubiquitinating enzyme, specifically targeting lysine 63-linked ubiquitin chains. This function is vital for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis, as cylindromatosis 1 influences processes such as inflammation and tumor suppression. Mutations in the CYLD gene can lead to familial cylindromatosis, a condition characterized by the development of multiple benign skin tumors known as cylindromas, which can become infected and lead to significant discomfort and disfigurement. Cylindromatosis 1 expression is observed in various tissues, including brain, gonads, skeletal muscle, spleen, liver, heart, lung, and leukocytes, highlighting cylindromatosis 1′s importance in diverse biological functions. Additionally, somatic mutations in the CYLD gene have been implicated in the oncogenesis of tumors exhibiting cylindromatous features, underscoring cylindromatosis 1′s relevance in cancer research and therapeutic development.

Thank you for your inquiry. The use of mouse monoclonal antibodies with mouse samples is very common and typically poses no problem. To eliminate any potential cross-reactivity of an anti-mouse secondary detection reagent, cylindromatosis 1 (H-6): sc-137139 is available in a variety of direct conjugations, such as HRP, PE, FITC and AlexaFluors.
