SEE ALSO...

Cyclophilin F Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Cyclophilin F protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Cyclophilin F (G-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cyclophilin F, also known as PPIF, is a 207 amino acid protein located in the mitochondrial matrix, where PPIF plays a crucial role in regulating cell death pathways. Specifically, Cyclophilin F is involved in the induction of necrotic and apoptotic cell death through activation of the mitochondrial permeability transition pore, a critical process that can lead to cell survival or death depending on the cellular context. This function is particularly important in studying various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer, where regulation of apoptosis is a key factor in disease progression and treatment response. Cyclophilin F′s ability to modulate mitochondrial function and influence cell fate makes PPIF a significant target for research in cellular biology and therapeutic development.
